Billy Cobham "live in Rome" vol 1 in cd???

Hi Guys,
Do you know this cd? i've already seen it on the web but with a different name "Live in Rome in 5.1" So ,what is it? A dvd or a true live cd? On itunes ,it is listed as a cd,released in 2000...??? i'd like to get a copy!Thanks for your help,peace,Stef

I'm always connected ! Just don't always reply right away. Yes, I have this CD and it is called Live in rome in 5.1. I had a hard time tracking this one down as only one company in Italy was selling it, but I don't remember their name. If you search with google , I'm sure you can find it.

The one thing you need to know is that this CD will NOT play on an ordinary CD player. You need a machine that will play DTS. For me, I had to use my Pioneer DVD recorder to play it. Here I must defer to Colin as he is the expert on 5.1 and 7.1 mediums since that is what he buys and plays.

the music is good, and it is an enjoyable CD, though a hard one to find ! Hope that helped !

and to answer Colin's question, yes, it's legal ! 100%.

Yes DTS 5.1
but as Ted says you may need a Multi Region player.

I think more DTS 5.1 discs
should be made
as many have a DTS DVD player
with 5.1 sound.

i've received the cd ,and even if i'm not convinced by a 5.1 system for music ( i still prefer a stereo system ),this one is good, i didn't know the track "echoes" written by the great Ernie Watts and it' one of my favourite with "kinky Dee"(i love both solos from Bromberg and Boomer!) ,this solo is a part of billy's by design video! good stuff!Peace,Stef
