I always used to watch the Monkees growing up in the 60's.
I don't think I ever missed an episode.
Micky Dolenz was quite the singer/drummer but I heard that Hal Blaine did most of their studio recording.

Crazy idea I've had for a long time, but one I would love to do. A few months ago I mentioned to my wife I would love to be in a band that played Fusion versions of Monkees songs. I told her I thought it would be terrific and would find an audience. She agreed. Some day, maybe. Same with Cream. I've never heard JazzisDead, and don't know exactly what they did, but from what I've read, kind of a thing like that.
