This is the kit Jonathan Moffett was going to use on the Michael Jackson This is It Tour.

Jonathan has such a solid, aggressive groove. One of my favorites.

Very interesting rack system. Can't figure it out. It isn't free standing, but it seems to have elements of that. Is it a DW rack system? Must be.

I have never seen Moffett play. Guess I should check out youtube.

Wow. Sharp as a tack.

Gibraltar has been making his custom drum racks for years now.
Not the kind of thing you could put together yourself without unlimited access to a lot of extra rack pipes,
a pipe cutter and a lot of help...LOL!

I noticed the other day that Gibraltar is now offering that rack system to consumers. Looks different, but not any more convenient that regular cymbal stands all over the place.

I saw him last night, here:
just outside the Chicago area.

That kit is still massive.  cyclops

He did a fine job. MJ's music was
demanding of groove and he was
there to provide it.

HE STILL IS THERE!

The show is bittersweet. It is
hard not to watch without your
heart be broken/even disturbed.

Too much digital in my opinion,
personally, though.
