He is the drummer for Legend. You mentioned that band, who also had an album in the early 80's. I thought you might be him.

Oh, OK. No, our band Legend was Kevin Nugent on guitar, Fred Melillo on bass, and me, Ray Frigon on drums. The album was From the Fjords, released in 1979, New Hbaven, CT, on our own label.

I have read there were other bands by that name around in the day. I left the band as the album was coming out. I recall being told Kevin had communications with someone from another band with the same name and trying to work through who gets to keep the name gig. Our band folded shortly after I left, so I suppose the other band kept their name without a hassle.

Fjords has so much more interest and a following now, than back then it's crazy. A google of Legend from the fjords gets 630,000 hits. Nuts. I know they all cannot be about the band and album, but my daughter has taken it as her own personal venture to track them all down. Her father the "rock star." LOL.

Kevin passed away around 1983, as I remember. Great loss. Many still miss him. Great guitarist.
