The West Oak Lane jazz festival is 3 days of music that is set up on the streets here in Philadelphia near my house.
This goes on every year for 3 days, and they have about 4 or 5 stages, they have a good lineup this year with Chaka Khan closing it Sunday. And it is all free

I can't believe they are having that this year, they had a bad turn out at the last few.
I saw a report in the local news about the lack of attendance and how the promoter failed badly.
I guess the city is paying for this? Hope it does better this year.

I think the turnouts have been good, the last one I went to Teena Marie closed it. I missed Urban Gorilla Orchestra to night, I really wanted to see them they are rated as one of the best cover bands in the country, I saw them the last time. They are simply one of the best.

Jeffery Osbourne killed it, he really knows how to work a crowd. The chicks were going crazy. Peabo Bryson did a nice job too. Gerald Veasley also did a super job. I did not go back to see Chaka Khan Sunday, because I did not feel like fighting the crowd.
