Earl Klugh came up in the Omar thread. I was not familiar with his music. I didn't want to hijack the Omar thread so I posted this.

This is the first hit at YT and it's really cool, gorgeous music. I really like it. I don't know who the drummer is but, he's good and his drums sound beautiful.

Thanks to DSlam for turning me on to Earl. I love his playing. Some fine musicians in this band too. The sax player is great. A lot of melodic solos which are my listening territory, man. Speaks to me.

Very nice... Man, I hate those unstable drum risers
that when you play on them your kit shakes and rocks
all over the place.

Better late than never, Asaph!

I have followed him from the very
beginning with Larry and David's
discovery and jetison of Earl way,
way back.  In fact, I used Steve,
Harvey and on later albums Carlos'
drum parts to understand real
accompaniment on Living Inside
Your Love and Finger Paintings.

Those two are among my favorites.

Regards,
