I always felt that there is a special chemistry between Billy and George Duke...it seems as they really have SO much fun playing together...would love to see them back together again!

Yeah Don, I heard some rumors!
I'd love that to happen!

As far as the Herbie stuff goes...it's just a matter of taste, but I don't like that particular band that much. I know I may get flamed for this, but I think Vinnie Colaiuta and Nathan East don't work together so well with the rest of the band and my taste in live drumming has never got along with Vinnie Colaiuta. For my feel he is way to heavy for that kind of music. I also didn't dig him playing Stratus with Jeff Beck. Something in his groove just doesn't reach me! Maybe there's something like too much perfection for me...

My friend guitarist and inventor/builder roscoe wright designed that style of guitar body and the japanese got a hold of it and started producing a knock off. man was he pissed they jacked his idea and invention.

george duke is phenomenal like a poor man's chick corea farao . I'm not that into all his funkmusic that is good stuff but i really dig his more fusiony side. he has a few albums i would like to find that don't seem to be available. the one with ndugu soloing on this long fusion kind of tune i used to dig that record. his goodtime funky vocal music is definitely good stuff if you like that sort of thing. i find it a little pedestrian but the man is one of the great keyboard talents. i would love to hear him with billy more often!

Yeah, I really like Carl Orr's playing. If memory serves me right, he plays on Boomer's Conundrum Play-Along, right? Sure sounds like him.
