Brilliant post, Mike. Don't worry about the USA. 41% of the planet has no access to a toilet. We have toilets (and we're about to flush Bush). Case closed.

Not far from the truth Colin... what amazes me living in this great nation is that political leaders and economists alike get mired in the euphemisms rather than enacting the obvious: effectual change. They rely upon the ecomomy of sound bites rather than the economies of scale (taking the bull by the horns and effecting meaninful policies targeted at benefiting the populace as a whole, instead of special interest groups). I'd go so far as to say that this is not unique to America either: it's systemic in most so called "free" and democratic nations. A sad fact regardless of where we live.

I won't miss him but I will, all the young children
that lost their lives, fighting what I believe is a
pointless conflict - well, at least, as I see it.

Btw, I see anyone below 30, as a child, life only
just budding for them.

Of course, there are those who profited directly
from that conflict and to them, I flip.

Pete,

You might remember that back in the day I was somewhat behind this.... And even now I think it was the right thing to do BACK THEN! But this thing has gone way overboard and has gone much further than it should've.

Far too many families have lost some brave young loved ones that have died much too early in their lives. I think the conflict at this point is pointless... And it's been that way for a loooong time.
