Thank you all for your nice words!

Woofus,

Oh, by the way, everytime I saw it was well syncronized in my computers. I don't know if it might have anything to do with your streaming speed or not...

I don't think I've been dreaming, but Alex put up a very nice close-up of his brushwork in 3/4 time and then it disappeared. Then just today he put up video of some wicked stickwork on a rubber pad and now it's gone! Alex is toying with the masses!

I think he's experimenting
with the links, Woof.

That previous photo is a
great shot of him, looking
at the conductor.

Alex is masterful.

Dear Pete and Woofus,

Thanks for the interest.

You are right Keith, I posted both videos, but then I thought I'll try to do them again hopefully better, when I have more time.

Anyway, here is the SAME brush video en 3/4 in the meantime:

Brushes in 3/4

All these days I am playing daily, sometimes very far from home, driving like crazy bettween gigs under very heavy rain (today I'll be gone for two days again), so I don't have much time to do them at this point.

Best regards!

You constantly amaze me Alex. Your drumming makes me want to be in the audience and listen even after the "curtain call." Better yet, I think you're a great guy on top of your music.

Alex, I am curious what your music education background is and how you got into jazz.

Dear Asaph.

Thank you for your interest!

You can go to my site http://www.alexsanguinetti.com and there is a lot of information about it,

I'm interested in Jazz since I was born because my father had a large record collection of modern Jazz, it was always my favorite music.

Why do you want to know all this?

Best regards!

You have a very "intelligent" style to your playing. Also, seeing you read a chart in one of your vids caused me to wonder what routes you took in your music education. I do not read, and have admiration for those who do.

Is there an English translation button at your site?

Alex Sanguinetti

Thanks, the site has not any translation button. Probably you can translate the whole page with Google (right corner up on the screen).

Take some lessons with a teacher that YOU KNOW FOR SURE that can read really well (and know how to teach as well), it's very easy to read.

You can even do it with me (with Skype, on- line lessons with video in REALTIME)

Best regards!

Sorry, I don't think it's you, all my students, even 5-6 year old can read.

Most (over 99 %) students I get from other teachers can't read even if they've been studying years, as soon as they start with me they learn inmediately. I rather don't tell you more about this....

I suggest you try a few lessons with me, I'm sure you end up reading. Reading is the key to be an advanced drummer, even if you want to be a hobby drummer, when you read you increase your learning capabilities "astronomically".

I do believe it is much easier for children to learn to read music than the older warriors like me.

I took lessons a few times. Both drums and piano. Both gave me literal headaches.

I would ask the drummer to play things I'd see in Modern Drummer and he'd play them and I would say, "Is that what that is? I do that all the time."

My teachers were the greats as a kid until now. Lots of intent listening and playing along. I found my "voice" at the instrument and abide satisfied. Not reading doesn't limit what I do in current music endeavors. I just get curious about charts I see in magazines and would like to know what I'm looking at. I can break things down, but it's laborious and it's a consumption of time I just don't have these days.

I'm sure you do a fine job teaching. Maybe I will try again and hit you up for some lessons.
