Whether it's a tight snare drum or just being "tight," this is not me behind the drums. A very FINE Lady plays the keyboards with her group. Just thought I'd put it up for your enjoyment since I don't have to be on everything.
You Ain't That Busy to listen.
It Matters!
Now before any of you go spinning your wheels unproductively, I only know "of" this Lady. She sent me the songs for my critical review and as a sampling of her keyboard work in the studio. Why this hasn't been released yet is beyond me. Yet rather than be overly critical, I would say that the project needs a few more production elements (most assuredly proper Mastering).
What I hear is loosen up the "tightness" around instruments that should breath... perhaps remix the song with proper ambience. Aside from the snare drum which has a "gate" on it, the rest of the kit should open up. I actually hear a string ensemble in the mix, but then this was likely recorded as a demo four years ago. I don't know yet. And you know what? I don't need to know - I only enjoy what I hear.
May none of us forsake our small beginnings when excellent at what we do already!
You go Lanie!
